Meet The Resort Team

Jessica Bowers – Kennel Technician

Certificate IV Companion Animal Services

Bachelor of Animal Science – University of Adelaide 2019

Hi,  I am new to the team here at Pampered Pets Resort.

My dream job from childhood has always been to become a behavioural trainer in a Zoo and to work with wildlife.

Since completing a Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services and a Bachelor of Animal Science at the University of Adelaide, I have gained 3 years experience in the Pet Industry, by way of Training Schools, Boarding Kennels and through the RSPCA. I have grown to love all kinds of animals, both exotic and domestic.

Witnessing the varying personalities between different animals and how they interact and play with each other always interests me. It gives me great satisfaction to provide the best care I can to the animals entrusted to me, ensuring that everyone feels happy ad comfortable.

Working here so far, I have enjoyed seeing all the happy dogs in the mornings and giving treats after playtime and baths. I hope to continue to provide this comfort to your pets and ensure that both pets and you as owners are happy and relaxed when your pets stay here with us.

This year I am completing an Honours Degree in Wildlife Research,

I enjoy good music, wine and down time with my pets, friends and family after a hard day’s work. My fury companions consist of our family dogs Milly and Milo (black and chocolate labs respectively) and our cat, Sox.

Amelia Redman: Kennel Technician

Certificates 2 and 3 Animal Studies – TAFE SA
Certificate Pet First Aid – PIAA

11 years of experience in Pet Industry

Hi, I have been with Pampered Pets Resort as a Kennel Technician since July 2016. I started in the Pet Industry in 2008 after finishing school at Golden Grove High School. Enjoying this career path immensely I wanted to build on my qualifications and completed a Certificate ll of Animal Studies at TAFE, Gillies Plains in 2013. Since joining Pampered Pets Resort I have completed “Pet First Aid Workshop” through the Pet Industry Association of Australia in 2016.

What I like about working with animals is that they all have different personalities and different requirements, giving variety to my day. Working for a smaller kennel and having the opportunity to interact with the dogs through play time has been so much fun whilst I particularly enjoy bathing and brushing the dogs and getting them ready to go home.

I enjoy a good joke, music, playing tennis and attended the Australian Open earlier this year.

My much loved and spoilt companions include; Mylious – Jack Russell Terrier x Poodle, Monty – Jack Russel x, Eva – Domestic Short haired Cat and Sam & Sammy my Budgies
